Checking the curriculum context for assessment registrations

What does a "wrong curriculum context" mean?

When you register for an assessment in myCampus, you must select the curriculum context in which you are registering for the assessment. It is important to ensure that you register correctly.

Common sources of error are, for example:

  • You register for an assessment as additional credits, even though it is part of the regular curriculum of your degree programme.
  • You have changed your degree programme/major/minor and have already registered for an assessment for your old degree programme instead of your new one.
  • You are a studying multiple degree programmes and are registering for the assessment for the wrong degree programme.

In these and other cases, there is an incorrect curriculum context. Incorrect registration leads to subsequent problems, in particular to the assessment grade not being included in your average grade.

If you are not sure, we therefore recommend that you check the curriculum context of your assessment registrations in myCampus.

Below, we show you how to check the curriculum context of your assessment registrations.

If you come across incorrect registrations, please fill out this form and send it as soon as possible to Student Services (studierendenservice@leuphana.de).

Checking the study context for assessment registrations in the "Exam Dates" application

Click path: Exam Dates

You can register and deregister for assessments in myCampus in the „Exam Dates“ application. Open the application by clicking on the icon on the homepage.

The „My Exams“ view opens, in which you can see your registered assessment dates.

Open the curriculum context for any assessment date by clicking on the icon next to the „Curriculum context“ label.

There you can see the position of your assessment date in the context of your degree programme. Compulsory modules, elective modules and additional credits are shown separately in the curriculum in myCampus.

If, for example, you are registered for additional credits instead of a compulsory or elective module, please contact Student Services with the completed form (see above).
