FAQ for examiners
General
The courses and assessments of a semester are still recorded in myStudy. The assessments are transferred from myStudy to myCampus via an interface so that students can register for them and are then assessed by you in myCampus. In myStudy you will still find the evaluation forms and lists of participants for the conduct of assessments. The overall grades are entered in myCampus.
Leuphana Account
The Leuphana Account is your access to a large part of the IT systems of the Media and Information Centre at Leuphana University of Lüneburg. You will receive the Leuphana Account when you are employed. You can find more information about the Leuphana Account and the IT systems at Instructions on digital tools and services.
Please contact the IT Service at it-service@leuphana.de.
Exam dates
Please check whether you have been entered in myStudy as an examiner in the examination date. If not, you must first be entered there by the person responsible for the module or the Dean's Office in charge. If you have been entered as an examiner in myStudy and cannot see the access in myCampus, try clearing your browser cache and reload the myCampus homepage with the F5 key. If the access is still not visible, please contact us with your name, the examination identification number from myStudy (to be found in the title of the examination) and the title of the examination you would like to access at mycampus@leuphana.de.
Please check whether you have been entered in myStudy as an examiner in the examination date. Have you also removed all filters via the „Operations“ tab in myCampus and still cannot see your exam date? Then please contact us stating your name, the examination identification number from myStudy (to be found in the title of the examination) and the title of your exam at mycampus@leuphana.de.
When you open the „Exam Administration“ application, look for the selected organisation at the top centre. Change the organisation from „My examination dates“ to your organisation. Then call up the module „Assess exams“. You should now see the exam dates of the selected organisation.
The dates are taken from myStudy. If the information in myStudy and myCampus differs, please contact us with your name, the examination identification number from myStudy (to be found in the title of the examination) and the title of the exam you would like to access at mycampus@leuphana.de.
The visibility of the exam dates (column „display to students“ in the list of exams/assessment) is set in Campus Management via the myStudy interface.
Until now, the authorization for third parties to assess examinations was assigned in myCampus at the level of the institutes in coordination with the deans of studies (and not at the level of the examination dates). With the start of the recording of the teaching and examination offer by the full-time lecturers for the winter semester 2025/2026 from 03.03.2025, this process changed: the authorization is now already carried out at the level of the examination date in myStudy and is transferred to myCampus accordingly. This applies for the first time to examination dates in the winter semester 2025/26.
If you need to access an examination date, please contact the examiner responsible in good time for the registration phase. If you become eligible for an examination date outside the registration phase, please contact the relevant Dean of Student Service.
In the list of exams/assessment, almost every column has filtering and sorting options. With the staircase symbol you can sort the entries in the column in ascending or descending order. With the magnifying glass symbol, you can apply or cancel individual filters. To reset all filters, click on „Remove filter“ in the „Operations“ tab.
Please only enter the overall grade in myCampus for the assessment. Please submit the individual evaluation forms of a combined assessment with the signed examination protocol to the Student Service.
Assessments of exam dates can only be submitted in myCampus if the date is in the past. In particularly urgent cases, an earlier assessment is possible. To do so, contact the Student Service with specific details of the exam date and the students affected, who will then provide you with a copy of the exam date for this purpose.
Contact the Student Service with specific details of the exam date so that they can release the exam date for you again. Correct your assessments and save the entries. Print out the new examination protocol, sign it and send it to Student Service by internal post. Then submit the exam date to the Student Service in myCampus.
After you have saved your assessments in myCampus, print out the examination protocol. The examination protocol must be signed by the responsible examiner. Send the signed examination protocol by internal post to the Student Service. It will be used there for the publication of the grades and archived afterwards.
If you have a suitable program (e.g. Adobe Acrobat), you can download the examination protocol as a PDF, sign it digitally and send it to Student Services (studierendenservice@leuphana.de).
As the digital signature is currently not generally available and there is currently no panel for a certified digital signature in the myCampus examination protocol, a digital signature within myCampus is unfortunately not possible.
The examination protocol can only be printed if the date of the exam in myCampus is in the past.
You may have printed the examination protocol before making any further changes to the exam date. Print the examination protocol only after you have recorded and saved all assessments and then submit the exam date directly to Student Service. If you have already submitted the examination protocol and the exam date and the control number does not match, first try to print a new examination protocol. If the control number now matches, sign the examination protocol and send it to the Student Service by internal post. Otherwise, ask the Student Service to release the exam date again for you to repeat the assessment process from the printing of the examination protocol.
The following applies to college and graduate school students: If they deregister themselves from the first exam date, they will not be automatically registered for the repeat exam date. Automatic registration only takes place if you fail the exam, do not show up/submit it, or withdraw due to a doctor's note. However, re-registration only takes place once the first exam date has taken place and the grades have been published. For this reason, examiners are asked to complete their assessments as soon as possible and submit them to Student Service. Students will be automatically notified of their re-registration by email. They can deregister from the second exam date themselves in their myCampus account. Generally, questions from students regarding exam regulations should only be answered by Student Service.
Theses
Not at first glance. Click on the pencil icon in the „Publication“ column to see more information about the thesis. There you will also find a section called „Supervision“, where you will see the second examiner.
Your assessment for the oral examination will be done via the question protocol, which you will receive from the Student Service. After the exam, please return the question protocol directly to the Student Service by internal post. The grade will be recorded there.
No, unfortunately this is not possible. The assessment of theses is only possible for the registered examiner.
Notify students
In the case of an oral examination, you can give feedback directly after the exam. For all other exams, please use the evaluation form provided in myStudy. In principle, the more transparent the assessment criteria and the better students can understand the grade awarded, the fewer objections there will be to the grade.
