If you are approved as an external examiner for a thesis, you will receive a guest account (not a Leuphana account) in myCampus to assess the thesis. The account term is based on the respective assessment period.

The guest account is created by Student Services in connection with the thesis application. To create and verify your identity, we require your email address and date of birth.

The Student Services will inform you as soon as you have been appointed as an examiner for the thesis by the relevant examination board.

In a separate e-mail you will receive a PIN code and a link to activate your guest account (you define your user name and password yourself). If you need a new PIN code, please contact myCampus support at mycampus@leuphana.de.

You can then log in to myCampus at https://mycampus.leuphana.de with your user name and password.

If you no longer have your password or username, please contact us at mycampus@leuphana.de.

Once students have submitted their thesis, the information portal in Student Services will check the formal requirements and notify you, as the examiner, by email that the thesis has been received. Only then may you begin reviewing the thesis.

If students send you their theses directly by email, these are considered ‘not submitted’. Please do not accept these theses for review, but contact studierendenservice@leuphana.de directly. Please include the student's matriculation number and degree program in the subject line so that your request can be easily assigned to the appropriate administrator.

You can then download the thesis, upload your assessment and enter the grades via the ‘My supervised theses’ application in myCampus. You can find detailed information on assessment on these instruction pages under ‘Evaluation of theses’.
