++++Which applications are available?|
Most of the applications are restricted or intended for selected user groups. A certain range of applications is available to all registered users:

++++Searching for an application|
You can filter the display of applications on the start page using the search field. The search field is located on the left edge below your favourites bar. The search function is based on the application titles which are located under or next to the icons.

++++Opening an application|
To open an application, click on the respective application icon.
Depending on the application to be opened and your functions and permissions in myCampus, a page with a selection menu may open first. Here you must specify from the perspective of which organisation you would like to open the application. The contents and your permissions within the application may vary depending on the organisation. Otherwise, the application opens directly.

An overview of the existing organisations in myCampus and their positions in the system's organisation tree is provided by the "Organisation" application.
To avoid the intermediate step of choosing an organisation when opening an application, there are two possibilities:
* Click on the drop-down field "All applications" on the start page below the favourites and select "Applications with organisation filter". Now select the desired organisation next to the search field instead of "Leuphana University Lueneburg".
* Set a favourite with context (see "Setting an application as a favourite with context").

=====Managing favourites=====
++++Setting an application as a favourite|
You can set as many applications as you like as favourites so that they appear at the top of your home page. To do this, move the mouse over the respective application and click on the three vertical dots that appear to the right of the symbol. Then click on "Add to Favourites". The application now appears at the top of your home page.

++++Setting an application as a favourite with context|
If you would like to open an application regularly from the perspective of a certain organisation, you can set a favourite with context. To do this, change the application view on the start page below the favourites from "All applications" to "Applications with organisation filter". Next to the search field, select the organisation from whose perspective you regularly use the application.

Move the mouse over the icon of the application for which you want to set a favourite with context. Click on the three vertical dots that appear to the right of the symbol and then on "Add to Favourites with Context". The application now appears in your favourites. Below the title is the name of the organisation. This indicates that once you open the application, you will see it from the perspective of that particular organisation. You will therefore only see content and only have permissions that are linked to this organisation.

++++Displaying favourites only|
Once you have set your favourites, you can choose to display only those applications and hide the rest. To do this, click on the button "Show only Favourites". To undo this, click the button which is now called "Show all Applications" again.

++++Organising your favourites in folders|
To organise your favourites individually in folders, click in the "Favourites" area on the three vertical dots at the top right edge of the start page in the "Favourites" area and select "Create New Folder". Name the folder and confirm with "Save".

You can rename or delete the folder at any time by moving the mouse over the folder, clicking on the three vertical dots that appear to the right of the icon and selecting the corresponding action "Rename" or "Remove".

To add one of your favourites to a folder, move the mouse over the application in your favourites bar that you want to move to a folder. Click on the three vertical dots that appear to the right of the icon and then on the "Move to folder" button. Select the desired folder and confirm your selection with "Add". Your favourite is now in the folder. Click on the folder to open it.

++++Removing favourites|
If you want to remove a favourite, move the mouse over the respective application in your favourites bar and click on the three vertical dots that appear to the right of the icon. Select "Remove from Favourites".

If you would like to remove an application from one of your folders in the favourites, open the folder and move the mouse over the application you want to remove from the folder. Click on the three vertical dots that appear to the right of the icon. Select "Remove from Favourites". Please note that this will not only remove the application from the folder, but from the favourites altogether.
